Farm Hands 4-H Tucson Village Farm
Exploring Agriculture with Farm Hands 4-H at Tucson Village Farm
Compass High School’s field studies program recently teamed up with Tucson Village Farm for a hands-on learning experience through the Farm Hands 4-H program. Students have the opportunity to step outside the classroom and immerse themselves in sustainable agriculture, gaining valuable insights into the farm-to-table process.
During their time at the farm, students engage in various activities, including planting crops, tending to livestock, and learning about water conservation practices. The experience not only teaches practical farming skills but also emphasizes the importance of community and environmental stewardship.
Farm Hands 4-H gives Compass students a chance to see the bigger picture of where food comes from, empowering them with knowledge that fosters healthier, more sustainable living. Whether harvesting fresh produce or learning about the science of agriculture, students walk away with a deeper appreciation for the land and the vital role it plays in our everyday lives.
This partnership with Tucson Village Farm allows Compass High School students to cultivate a unique blend of agricultural education, teamwork, and a hands-on connection to nature, making it an enriching and unforgettable experience!
